Explorers Fair: Virtual Sculpture Workshop
16 February, 2020 | 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
£3.50

Create amazing Augmented Reality sculptures with artists and designers Studio Above&Below.
Using the landscape of Hockley as a starting point, children will hunt for found objects to use in the creation of digital sculptures. Through storytelling, experimentation and mind-mapping, the sculptures will be transformed into Augmented Reality and placed around Broadway and Broad Street as an invisible sculpture trail.
During this four-hour long workshop, children will be introduced to different types of Augmented Reality technologies, as well as basic skills in 3D software modelling, storytelling and collaboration.
The workshop will be led by Broadway’s Near Now Fellows Perry-James Sugden and Daria Jelonek of Studio Above&Below.
This event is aimed at children aged 8-13. All children must be accompanied by an adult – accompanying adults do not require a ticket.
Supported using public funding by Arts Council England and with thanks to Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity.
