Library Club Talk: Urban Flood Resilience and Blue-Green Infrastructure
Dr Emily McDonnell, Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham’s School of Geography, will deliver a talk about urban flood resilience and blue-green infrastructure. This topical talk will share some of the more novel methods that are being used to manage flood risk, such as creating blue and green spaces that are designed to flood safely, well as improving quality of life and addressing potential impacts of climate change. Members of the audience will also be invited to share their stories and experiences of flooding.
