The Garden of Just Because at Broadway

The Garden of Just Because is an interactive installation inspired by the micro view of a garden and the invisible world underneath the soil. It is a place where fairy rings and science meet. Young visitors will experience a space where sculptural forms towers above them. They will be able to activate the LED to light up the mycelium network that runs all the way up into the chanterelle mushrooms.

The installation features clay mushrooms created by local pupils from Middleton and Fernwood Primary Schools.

Between Wednesday 16 and Saturday 19 February, book your own 45 minute slot to spend time in the installation with little ones.

This installation was created by Makers of Imaginary Worlds/Roma Patel as part of the 2020/21 Festival Artist in Residence project funded by Arts Council England.

The installation is located in the Broadway Gallery space, which is wheelchair accessible via a lift.

For more enquiries about accessibility needs of the venue please contact the Box Office on 0115 852 6611.

For more enquiries about accessibility of the installation itself, please contact the Festival Producer [email protected] or via the Festival Facebook page.

The Garden of Just Because will also be at Wollaton Hall on Saturday 12 February.
