The Garden of Just Because Workshops at Wollaton Hall
12 February, 2022 | 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Free

The Garden of Just Because is an interactive installation inspired by the micro view of a garden and the invisible world underneath the soil. It is a place where fairy rings and science meet. Young visitors will experience a space where sculptural forms towers above them. They will be able to activate the LED to light up the mycelium network that runs all the way up into the chanterelle mushrooms.
The installation features clay mushrooms created by local pupils from Middleton and Fernwood Primary Schools.
Join artist Roma Patel for a workshop exploring the installation and creating your very own clay fungi sculptures to take away. Workshops will last for 50 minutes and will run at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. The workshop is recommended for children over 5, but little one are welcome to join along too.
This installation was created by Makers of Imaginary Worlds/Roma Patel as part of the 2020/21 Festival Artist in Residence project funded by Arts Council England.
