Previous Festivals
2024 Festival
The 2024 Festival took place 5 – 16 February 2024 and saw over 15,000 people taking part in festival events, with the most-ever number of schools taking part and events all over Nottinghamshire.
2023 Festival
The 2023 Festival took place 6 – 17 February 2023 and saw our biggest increase in the number of events, venues, participants, contributors and magazine pages yet.
2022 Festival
The 2022 Festival took place 7 – 16 February 2022 and saw a return to in-person workshops and events, as well as new and improved festival magazine and tv programme.
2021 Festival
The 2021 Festival took place 8 – 17 February 2021 and included lots of online workshops as well as our first festival magazine and tv programme.
2020 Festival
The 2020 Festival took place 12 – 19 February 2020 and included activities across Nottinghamshire for the first time and as well as a broad lates programme.
2019 Festival
The 2019 Festival took place 13 – 20 February 2019 and ran activities all over Nottingham, reaching all 13 branch libraries, as well as lots of activities happening in schools.
2018 Festival
The 2018 Festival took place 14 – 21 February 2018, running activities in Nottingham city centre, a new lates programme and the first ever Real Science in Schools Symposium.
2017 Festival
The 2017 Festival took place 9 – 15 February 2017 and focused on Nottingham city centre activities including the Explorers Fair as well as activities in branch libraries.
2015 Festival
The first festival took place 13 – 29 March 2015 with events at Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, Wollaton Hall, Broadway and Central Library and coincided with British Science Week and the launch of the National Videogame Arcade.
