The 2025 Festival took place Monday 10 February – Friday 21 February 2025.

With the festival now over for another year, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all the people to contributed activities, volunteered their time, wrote for the magazine, partnered with us, donated towards the festival and helped us spread the word about science and curiosity across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and all the people who came along and took part!

2025 Festival Impact
- over 3000 school pupils from 70 schools across Nottingham & Nottinghamshire took part in our festival programme
- 60% of participating schools had higher than national average of children eligible for free school meals
- over 12000 people took part in our 63 public events in 47 venues across Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, with participants from every Nottinghamshire postcode area
- 60% of our participants were first time attendees and 95% said they learnt something new
- 12000 festival magazines were printed and distributed
- 268 people delivered activities including academics, students, researchers, industry experts, artists, community activists and science communicators

The 2025 Festival magazine has been contributed to from researchers, scientists and young people from across Nottinghamshire and beyond. The graphic design was completed by Laura Flatt, a student at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, part of Nottingham Trent University.
The magazine is now available to download and are in print from libraries and festival venues. Keep an eye out to get your free copy!

Self-guided Resources
This year we’ve produced some self-guided resources that could be delivered by teachers in schools or by families at home.
These have been designed to be appropriate for delivering with children aged 7+. Please ensure that children are accompanied by an adult at all times whilst taking part in there activities.
